THE CHALLENGE
A leading brand in the mining industry aimed to solidify its position as the world’s most valued mining company by enhancing the development of its apprentices and artisans. The challenge lay in ensuring that all training initiatives within the company produced artisans proficient in their trades and capable of meeting the organisation’s high standards.
Moreover, these artisans needed to be prepared for a rapidly evolving, mechanised, and digitised industry. The existing curriculum was too narrowly defined, restricting apprentices and artisans from adapting to modern technological advancements.
STRATEGIC APPROACH
Our strategy centred on a collaborative and comprehensive revamp of the curriculum and training methods at the company’s skills training centre. The approach included:
