WHY
A healthcare group operating in pharmaceutical distribution needed to fix fragmented HR across regions. Disparate systems slowed reporting and limited oversight. Employees struggled to access payslips, leave, and records, undermining trust and productivity.
Leadership set a goal to centralise HR onto a single, secure platform. Success meant simpler access, tighter compliance, cleaner data and real-time control—freeing managers to focus on service quality while reducing operational risk.
HOW
VSLS led an adoption-first strategy to centralise HR across Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. Principles were: standardise where possible, localise where required, and design for security. Using SAP Activate, cross-functional squads mapped processes, set the data model, and aligned HR–Finance integrations for payroll, time, and attendance.
Fit-to-standard workshops triaged gaps and drove sprints. Role-based self-service, service maps, and KPIs underpinned change and compliance, giving leaders visibility and employees simplicity while a consistent core enabled scale and reporting.
WHAT
VSLS centralised HR on a secure platform across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. SAP Payroll went live in all three, with SAP Time Evaluation in Singapore and Malaysia, integrating time, leave and bank files. Role-based self-service simplified access to payslips and records.
Impact included fewer manual interventions, faster payroll cycles, and audit-ready statutory reporting, evidenced by cleaner data and reduced tickets. Managers gained visibility
and employees gained easier access.
Handover enabled local ownership and continued improvement.
Brand Assets
The illustration assets promoted the company’s new system with a uniform, brand-aligned look. A range of communication formats — including emailers, postcards, and countdowns — was used to create global awareness.
